Global Permissions
A Permission is a system privilege that enables a Talisma User to perform a specific task, or a set of tasks. Permissions can be defined for Users while creating them. Permissions are of two types: Global and Team Level.
The Permissions page in Talisma Business Administrator lists groups of common Permissions available at the Global and Team levels. A User can be granted one, or all Permissions in a group to enable the User to perform the associated tasks in Talisma. When a group is selected, all Permissions listed in the group are automatically selected.
Talisma Permissions are hierarchical. Parent Permissions are displayed with a plus sign (+) next to them. Clicking the plus sign (+) displays the child Permissions of the selected parent Permission. If a User is granted a parent Permission, its child Permissions are also automatically granted. Alternatively, a User can be exclusively granted only a child Permission.
Note In Talisma documentation, when the term 'custom Object' is written within angular brackets (<>), replace the term with the custom Object with which you are working. When the term is written without angular brackets, it is used to generically refer to custom Objects |
Example Your organization has created “Policy” as a Global custom Object. As a result, various Global Permissions are created for the Policy Object. When the Global Permissions topic in Talisma documentation reads "Manage <Global custom Object> Permission", you would read it as "Manage Policy Permission". |
Global Permissions Table
The following table consists of three columns:
• Global Permission - This column lists the Global Permissions. Child Permissions are listed below the parent Permission, and are indented to the right.
• Actions Allowed - This column describes the tasks that can be performed by a User with the Permission.
• User - This column indicates the User who will typically be granted the Permission.
