Removing Inactive Targets

The progress of a Target from one Step of a Campaign to the next is referred to as a Transition. A Target who does not Transition is an inactive Target. Removing inactive Targets ensures a clean Workflow.

This option can be set from Talisma Business Administrator. However these settings can be overridden by specifying a new value in the Options dialog box accessed from Talisma Client.

Example

You have created a Campaign to announce an introductory Offer from WorldWaves. Ken, the senior Marketing Manager, requests that you monitor the Campaign to ensure that Targets who are inactive for three days are removed from the Workflow.

To Remove Inactive Targets

1.  Open the required Campaign.

2.  From the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box is displayed.

3.  Select the If Target does not make a Transition for n days, remove from Campaign option, and specify the number of days.

4.  Click OK. The Targets who do not Transition for the specified number of days are removed from the Campaign.

Note

•   The Campaign owner can also remove inactive Targets from a Campaign by defining the No Response to Mailer event in the Campaign Workflow.

•   To avoid sending Mailers to a single base Object item in quick succession, Talisma enables you to specify the duration between two Mailers. The following options are set in Talisma Business Administrator.

◦   Do not Send more than one Mailer to the same Object in the specified number of days.

◦   Do not Send more than one SMS to the same Object in the specified number of days.

The number of days is displayed as a read-only option in the Options dialog box.
