Restoring Archived Custom Object Items
You can restore an archived custom Object item that you want to reuse. At any given time, only one User can restore archived custom Object items.
To Restore Custom Object Items
1. In any Workspace, click Advanced in the Left pane. The Advanced Search dialog box is displayed.
2. Define the required search conditions to retrieve the required custom Object item.
3. Select the Include data from Archive database option.
The <custom object> items that match the specified search conditions are listed in the Table View.
4. Select the required <custom object> item. You can select multiple <custom object> items. To select adjacent <custom object> items, click the first <custom object> item, hold down the SHIFT key, and click the last item. To select random items, click the first item, hold down the CTRL key, and click the other items.
a. From the <custom object> menu, select Open in Archive Viewer, <custom object>.
The details of the archived <custom object> are displayed in the Archive Viewer dialog box.
b. Click . The <custom object> is retrieved.
c. Carry out steps i, and ii to restore subsequent <custom objects>.
d. Click Close. The Archive Viewer dialog box is closed.

From the <custom object> menu, select Unarchive.
All the archived custom object items in your selection are restored.
Note • In a scenario where Unique Property A in Custom Object 1 has been assigned a value of 1, and Custom Object 1 is archived, a User will be allowed to assign the same value to Unique Property A in Custom Object 2. In this scenario, if a User retrieves Custom Object 1, the Talisma - Conflict resolution for failed Objects dialog box is displayed, to prompt the User to specify a different value for Unique Property 1 in Custom Object 1. If the User retrieving Custom Object 1 does not have access to the Team to which the item belongs, the User must set the value of Unique Property 1 to NULL. • When you click Next to view a subsequent <custom object> item in the Archive Viewer dialog box, the details of the next archived <custom object>, are displayed. Although the specified filter retrieves both archived <custom object> items, and those that are not archived, <custom object> items that are not archived are not displayed in the Archive Viewer dialog box. • If the Team, Category, or User details associated with the archived <custom object> have been deleted subsequent to the archival of the <custom object> item, when you restore such a <custom object> item, the ID of the related Team, Category, or User are displayed instead of the name. |
