Permissions Required

Use Media Chat - To work in the Chat Workspace. Chat requests are routed only to Users who have this Permission. These Users can work with chat sessions and log Interactions.

A Chat Transcript comprises the chat conversation between you and the visitor during the chat session.

To Send the Chat Transcript

1.  From the Chat menu, select End Session.

- OR -

In the Message area, click .

The End Session dialog box is displayed.

2.  If the visitor is a Contact, or if you typed the visitor's e-mail address in the Visitor E-mail field in the Message Properties pane during the chat session, the visitor's e-mail address is displayed. However, you can edit this field by selecting the E-mail to option and specifying the e-mail address of the Contact. This is optional.

3.  Specify all the other details required to create an Interaction or add the chat request to an Interaction.

4.  Click OK. Talisma creates the Interaction and the chat transcript is sent to the e-mail address specified.

Note

•   You can specify multiple e-mail addresses in the To field by separating each e-mail address with a semicolon (;).

•   If the visitor pages are treated such that visitors can opt to receive the chat transcript, the transcript is automatically sent to such visitors.

•   When a Team is not associated with an Outgoing Alias, users in the Team will not be able to send chat transcripts to the visitor. In this case, the Business Administrator User should hide the Thank you message on the visitor's Transcript pane. To do so, the User should make appropriate changes to the Thankyou.asp file. This file resides in the physical path where the Chat Media Web Components are installed in the folder VisitorChat.

•   The visitor name can be displayed in the Chat transcript instead of the tag {visitor} by configuring the Display Visitor Name in the Transcript Global Option in Talisma Business Administrator.
