Transferring a Chat or Conference Session
Permissions required
Use Media Chat - To work in the Chat Workspace. Chat requests are routed only to Users who have this Permission. These Users can work with chat sessions and log Interactions.
You can transfer a chat or a conference session that you own. The User who is requested to accept a transferred session is notified by a transfer request notification that is displayed on the User's screen. The notification also indicates the name of the User who requested the transfer. The User can either accept this request or deny it.
To Transfer a Chat or Conference Session
1. During an ongoing chat or conference session in Talisma Chat Workspace, click Transfer.
- OR -
Right-click the required session in the My Sessions pane, and select Transfer from the shortcut menu.
The Transfer dialog box is displayed, in which all Teams are listed. You can view the list of Users in Teams in which you have the Use Media Chat Permission.
2. Select the User to whom you want to transfer the session, and click OK.
The selected User is sent a transfer request notification and the visitor information is displayed in the My Sessions pane. The User can accept or deny the request.
Note • If you transfer a suspended chat session to another User, the session remains suspended until the other User resumes it. • If you transfer a Conference session to one of the Conference participants, the transferred session is automatically accepted on behalf of the participant User. • When Team-based security is enabled for the Contact Object and you receive a chat request from a Contact that belongs to Teams to which you do not have access, you can either process the chat request or transfer the request to the appropriate User. For more information about Team-based security for the Contact Object, contact Talisma Product Support. |
