Configuring External Dispatcher Settings
An External Dispatcher is used to send messages other than email. By default, all messages are sent through the Dispatcher. However, you can choose to send messages through an External Dispatcher to reduce the load on the Dispatcher. When sending a message from Desktop Client, a user can send a message through an External Dispatcher by selecting the appropriate option from the New Message window.
To Enable Users to Select an External Dispatcher
1. From the Navigation pane, select the <System> node (the node at the top of the left pane).
2. Click Options in the Results pane. The System Option page is displayed.
3. Select the Allow the User to send e-mail messages using an External Dispatcher option. The appropriate option in the File menu of the New Message window is enabled.
4. Click Save.
