About Newsletter Campaigns

A Newsletter Campaign is designed to send regular Mailers, such as weekly news summaries, and quarterly statements to a subscription list. In such Campaigns, the only variable is the Mailer itself. However, the following elements remain constant:

•   The recipients of the Mailers.

•   The frequency with which the Mailers are dispatched.

These can also be modified.

The Mailing List for a Newsletter Campaign can be scheduled to run at specific intervals. When it is run, recipients in the Mailing List receive the Mailers. Base object items who do not want to receive the Mailers can be removed from the Mailing List.

Ideally, Newsletters are sent at regular intervals, such as daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or annually, depending on the company’s policy.

You can effortlessly create a Newsletter Campaign using the predefined Workflow provided in Talisma. Before creating a Newsletter Campaign, you need to create a subscription list containing the list of your base Object items. You also need to compose at least one Newsletter to be dispatched. In Talisma, the Newsletter that you send out to recipients is referred to as a “Mailer.”

Predefined Workflow of a Newsletter Campaign

Talisma comprises a built-in Workflow that supports the repeated tasks required to run a Newsletter Campaign. These repeated tasks include selecting the Newsletter to be sent, modifying the subscription list, and scheduling the dispatch of the Newsletter.

While running a Newsletter Campaign, you need to select the Newsletter and define a Filter condition for the Connector preceding the last Action Node. You can also modify the subscription list, but this is optional.

Scheduling the Dispatch of Newsletters

Newsletters can be dispatched daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. You need to schedule the Mailing List in order to dispatch the Newsletters to your Contacts at a particular time, or at specific intervals.

When scheduling a dispatch for a particular date and time, ensure that the correct Newsletter has been added to the Send Mailer Node, and that the Mailing List linked to the Campaign has been updated.
