Applying Brand to Duplicate Check Configuration

In addition to the Properties specified in the duplicate check criteria for the Contact and Lead Objects, you can configure the duplicate check criteria to include the Brand of the Contact’s Campus. When you click on the Apply Brand button, which is a toggle button, the following operations occur in Talisma:

•   The name of the button changes to Remove Brand.

•   The Enable creation of multiple Contacts with the same e-mail address global option in Talisma Business Administrator is set to Yes and is disabled.

•   The Brand of the Contact’s Campus is implicitly included in the duplicate check configuration during Contact and Lead resolution.

When you click the Remove Brand button, which is a toggle button, the following operations occur in Talisma:

•   The name of the button changes to Apply Brand.

•   The Enable creation of multiple Contacts with the same e-mail address global option in Talisma Business Administrator is set to No and is enabled. A Business Administrator User can set this option to Yes or No based on the business requirement.

•   The Brand of the Contact’s Campus is not included in the duplicate check configuration during Contact and Lead resolution.

Note

For the Brand functionality to work, the Campus Property must not be included in the duplicate check criteria. If the Campus Property is included in the duplicate check criteria, the Brand functionality will not be applicable.
