Release Highlights
Streamlined External System Integration
-
Customizable Date Range to Include Past and Future Records in Third Party Integration Export
-
Jobs: The active date range is now consistently set from January 1, 1900, to December 31, 2154.
-
EmployeePositionAssignments: This entity no longer publishes employee demographic information.
-
Send human resource records (Full): Sends all records that have been active at any point within the selected date interval, including those previously transmitted.
-
Send human resource records (Incremental): Sends records active within the selected date interval that were not previously transmitted, as well as any previously transmitted records that have been modified since their last transmission.
-
Improved Pay Period Validation for Anthology Payroll Data Update
We have updated the Anthology Payroll data to generate date-period-related exceptions only for the records and fields designated for the ASB PayPeriods data entity. Validation rules will no longer be applied to records that are not pay periods.
Additionally, the system now generates a warning message if the date period date record does not have a value in its "Work days" field.
In version 24.2.0, we have significantly enhanced the "Send human resource records" process. With the new version, the process now publishes all effective-dated records whose duration overlaps with the Integration Date Interval configured for this purpose. This improvement allows integrated systems, such as Faculty Workload Management, to receive future records for scheduling upcoming terms and updates on past changes, including terminations and assignments that ended in the past but were recorded after the event.
Key Updates:
The "Send human resource records" export to the Azure service bus now includes all records within the specified date range. Users can define the date range for records included in the integration process. The updated process includes:
To utilize these enhancements, you must configure a date interval and specify the required data in the External Systems Integration parameters.
-
Validate Worker Positions by Earning Date for Get Payroll Records
The "Get Payroll Records" process now validates worker and position values based on the earning date of incoming earning lines. It checks for an active HR worker position assignment as of the earning date. If no active assignment is found, the exception message will include the earning date, position ID, and worker ID of the incoming earning line record.
-
Improved Error Handling for Earning Lines with Out-of-Range Dates in Payroll Worker Records
In the event that "Process Earning Lines from External Systems" batch process encounters an earning line with a date outside the valid range of a Payroll worker's position record, the Payroll system will be unable to determine an appropriate pay group for that line. As a result, the system marks the status of the earning line as "Error" and generates an error log for further review.
Enhancing Faculty Management Integration for Instructor and Staff Records
-
Enhanced StaffID Integration for Consistency Between Anthology Student and Anthology Finance & HCM
This update supports the preparation efforts, typically owned by our Implementations team, for the Faculty Management integration by allowing the importing of Staff IDs to the corresponding Worker/Instructor records within Anthology Finance & HCM. As a result, this improvement prevents the creation of duplicate records when the FM integration is turned on.
-
Improved Integration with Faculty Management
When Faculty Management integration creates new Staff records in Anthology Student, the system now automatically populates the Domain fields using the instructor's email. Please note that while the Domain field is initially populated with default values, it remains editable in Anthology Student for further customization.
