Release Overview

We are excited to share these highlights for the Anthology Student 22.3 release. Your feedback is invaluable as we build solutions to serve you. Our focus continues to be to make it easier for you to do your job, continue to develop a delightful student experience, and support process and program needs among all institutions.

Anthology Inc. continues to improve performance and reliability in the product as described in the Resolutions section of the release notes as applicable.

Note: Starting from 22.3, Anthology Student will be relying upon Open Id Connect for authentication instead of Ws-Federation.

Timeline

April 28, 2022 - Anthology Student 22.3.0 Available

Upgrade Rollout Plans:

• Cloud 2.0 - This update will be applied to your nonproduction environment(s) within 2 business days and your production environment within 12 business days.

• Cloud 1.0, CampusNet, and on-prem customers – If you would like to apply this update, please submit a CSR and scheduling will occur based on availability.

Release Highlights

For the Entire Institution

• Advanced Search is now available from the global search area on the main product page. Advanced Search will allow all users with permissions to filter student searches by multiple criteria including email, address, birthday, and many more. It’s never been easier to find a student!

• Anthology works consistently to ensure the product is secure. In this release and working with Microsoft we have updated our excel exports such that exported values are less vulnerable to injection exploits.

For the Students

• Exciting new look and feel for the Student Portal! A new more intuitive user interface for your students – some of whom have shared their feedback on the new style and find it to be a more usable and modern experience. This new interface is not an option but rather will be the interface for all institutions.

• Students can now view their Degree pathways on the Student Portal! Moving forward in helping students to help themselves, we’re bringing the template and student plans into Portal for your students so they can get easy, self-service access to their pathways.

For the Office of Academic Records

• Admissions and Registrar’s Office staff can now work to define student statuses for prospects in the prospect status category and update them easily within the interface.

• Student Indicators are now available! This means schools can define which student indicators they would like to track for their populations and store this information within Student for easy accessibility when reporting.

For the Financial Aid Office

• COD 2022-2023 award year updates including:

  • Evaluation of Direct Loan Cost of Attendance during Eligibility and COD Export process

  • Auto Awarding Loans by determining Direct Loan Cost of Attendance

  • Canned View of MPNs that are inbounded and more!

• Improved ISIR performance and ability to import multiple ISIR files in the standard interface.

For those Managing Faculty Workload

• Departments are now available to be defined by your faculty management users or integrated from Anthology HCM! Departments can also be attached to any assignment, teaching or non teaching, and exported with earning lines. Track your department faculty spending more readily for any assignment in faculty management.

• Reports have been expanded to increase their efficacy to the faculty managers and payroll office.

• Integration to Anthology Payroll is complete! Seamlessly integrate between these three Anthology Inc. products so that HR information flows into Faculty Workload Management and payroll information flows out.

For the Business Office

• Continuing our support for our institutions using Great Plains, we have certified version GP 18.4 / 2022 with this Student release.

• Users can now access the Transaction Adjustment Report in the standard interface.
