Release Overview

We are excited to share these highlights for Anthology Student 23.1, targeted for release on March 24th, 2023. Your feedback is invaluable as we build solutions to serve you and, starting with this release, we are going to highlight where we have implemented your suggestions!

Many of you have already contributed to our Idea Exchange – a place where you can submit enhancement ideas for Anthology products and vote on ideas others have submitted.

You voted – we listened – our top, most-voted on item in the Idea Exchange will be delivered with this release! The idea: “Add the ability to remove students from Student Groups” (https://anthology-enterpriseoperations.ideas.aha.io/ideas/S-I-5) – allows you to delete students from a Student Group after you preview a report.

We have many other improvements to Anthology Student with this release. Here we’ll highlight some of those and we encourage you to review the release notes as you’ll find many more updates than are listed here.

Timeline

March 24, 2023 - Anthology Student 23.1.0 Available

Upgrade Rollout Plans for 23.1.0:

  • Cloud 2.0 — This update will be applied to your nonproduction environment(s) within two business days and your production environment within 12 business days.

  • Cloud 1.0, CampusNet, and on-prem customers — If you would like to apply this update, please submit a CSR, and scheduling will occur based on availability.

Release Highlights

Continued Improvement in Personalization Support

  • For faculty: you can now print rosters with a preferred student's names or legal names.

  • For staff: you can now store preferred name and pronouns on the staff page.

Usability and Process Improvements

  • Batch credentialing: this new feature, requested by many clients over the years, allows for batch processing of degrees in addition to the previously offered honors and badges. Degrees can be processed against student groups, individual students or through program version review and selection.

  • Additional columns (Second Section # and Course End Date) added to the class scheduling grid for increased usability.

  • By adding course section meeting details to the individual registration experience in Anthology Student, users will be able to see potential conflicts in a single screen experience for faster processing.

Making Data Access Easier

  • New standard data views provide faster access to data and starting points to expand or customize, including: Master Course List, Degrees Awarded, Grade Report, Term Attendance, and more!

  • Usability enhancements to make the Financial Aid File Management easier include; search for objects and properties in Views and further similar reporting improvements.

Partner Integrations

  • With ACI, you can now configure ACH Payments for processing.

Regulatory and Compliance Updates

  • SEVIS support updated to support compliance with SEVIS transmission and monitoring.

  • FAFSA Simplification: The Anthology team continues to closely monitor the FAFSA Simplification Act and has a plan to roll out the necessary changes over the coming quarters as those changes are finalized. Our early work in this release covers minor updates such as the COA Housing & Food field label.

  • 90/10 support for new attributes to support Non-Title IV Federal Education Fund and additional changes.
