Your feedback is invaluable as we build solutions to serve you and, starting with this release, we are going to highlight where we have implemented your suggestions!

Many of you have already contributed to our Idea Exchange – a place where you can submit enhancement ideas for Anthology Student products and vote on ideas others have submitted.

You voted – we listened – several times in this release!

  • A very popular request to distinguish between environments more readily is being delivered in this release. With 39 votes, this item: Better Distinction Between Production and Test Environments https://anthologyinc.aha.io/ideas/ideas/S-I-194 was presented in the Idea Exchange and design feedback was given. The new feature will now be available in Student 23.2.0. Thank you to all who voted for this enhancement to Anthology Student!

  • Another popular request with 23 votes was made to always default on the awarding tile in Financial Aid to the current academic year. So we did! This item: Financial aid- Default to the current academic year https://anthologyinc.aha.io/ideas/ideas/S-I-138 was presented in the Idea Exchange and will be available in Student 23.2.0. Thank you to all who voted for this enhancement to Anthology Student!

We have many other improvements to Anthology Studentt with this release. Here we’ll highlight some of those and we encourage you to review the release notes as you’ll find many more updates than are listed here.

June 23, 2023 - Anthology Student 23.2.0 Available

Upgrade Rollout Plans for 23.2.0:

  • Cloud 2.0 — This update will be applied to your environments in accordance with your Master Services Agreement (MSA).

  • Cloud 1.0, CampusNet, and on-prem customers — If you would like to apply this update, please submit a CSR, and scheduling will occur based on availability.

Release Highlights

Support for Complex Faculty Assignments within Class Sections

  • You can now assign up to 50 faculty to an individual class section.

  • You can assign faculty to periods and individual class sessions and split sessions between several faculty.

  • You can track load types (lecture, lab, clinical, etc.) associated to class sessions and faculty assignments when Anthology Student is used in conjunction with class scheduling.

  • You can effectively filter by Departments in Class Scheduling when Anthology Student is enabled and Departments are populated.

Usability and Process Improvements

  • You can now print clean, professional Student Schedules and Attendance reports from Student Courses for individual students.

  • In Settings > System, you can now indicate an environment type to more easily show if a user is working in a Test, UAT or Production environment.

  • Enrolled Students can now viewed their Degree Pathway within the Student Portal, moving access to self service advising tools even earlier in the student experience!

  • Students can now access and print unofficial transcripts within the Student Portal. Unofficial transcripts include courses in current statuses.

  • Users can now make a manual refund calculation in Student Accounts which will bypass the Automated Refund Calculation with the correct supporting configurations.

Making Data Access Easier

  • New standard data views provide faster access to data and starting points to expand or customize, including: Selected Letter Grade and Course Audit reports.

  • Extended Properties have been added to Student Bank Accounts, Student Credit Cards, Transaction Codes.

  • Direct Loan Analysis is now available within Reports > Financial Aid.

Partner Integrations

With Hyland, OnBase, we have expanded our support for attachments in the Applicant, Student, and Faculty Portal.

Regulatory and Compliance Updates

FAFSA Simplification: The Anthology Student team continues to closely monitor the FAFSA Simplification Act and has a plan to roll out the necessary changes over the coming quarters as those changes are finalized. Our early work in this release covers minor updates such as the COA Housing & Food field label.
