Release Highlights

Support for Complex Faculty Assignments Within Class Sections

You can now see the assignments of faculty in a variety of reports, including the Term Class Schedule, Attendance Detail Report, and others. You can additionally query on secondary instructor assignments and hours in Data Views using the Class Section Secondary Instructor object.

Advising and Placement

  • You can now manually fulfill a course on the DPA with a course in a current or scheduled status making the DPA more real time.

  • When a student registers for an elective course from the Portal, course fulfillment will now run to place the course into the highest-ranking elective pool for the course rather than placing the course in Courses not Applied until a grade is entered. This increases real time activity in the DPA to reflect in progress work.

  • Programs and program versions can now have test score ranges configured and courses added a student’s Student Course list based on the test score entered. This allows the system to automatically add the correct support course or college readiness course to the student’s required course list. When test scores are updated, courses can also be removed from the course list. This will reduce manual processing associated to placement activities.

Support for Complex Requisites

Complex requisites now support configuration and enforcement at registration for anti-requisites. Turn complex requisites on Settings > System > Advanced Features and the system will migrate your existing prerequisites and corequisites for you. There is no configuration changes needed in courses to use the new rules.

Usability and Process Improvements

  • Copying class sections now includes cross listed section relationships. When you now copy a cross listed section, you can copy the accompanying sections in the cross listed group in one step.

  • A configuration on courses has been added to allow a limitation to the campuses that can offer class sections of the course (the configuration here limits the availability of that course to be scheduled to only specified campuses).

  • Auto-add class sections now can add all the secondary instructor information from the original class section if configured to do so.

  • Students with multiple active enrollments can now have bill actions based on combined credit loads.

  • The ability to delete multiple or all scheduled awards is now on a student’s award tab. The system will check the origination status or the status of the disbursements for the awards to determine what can be deleted.

  • A configuration is available for the new Student Experience Financial Aid Overview to allow students to accept or decline all funds.

Making Data Access Easier

  • Student Courses now has an LDA column to allow for easy line of sight to the LDA for each course the student is taking. The column is hidden by default but can be turned on and moved to the best place for Registrars completing reporting needs and Student Life personnel looking to support students in their journey.

  • When the attendance roster is now exported to PDF the header information is expanded to include important information about the course and section.

  • Students can now see a breakdown of their Cost of Attendance to show a net value after grants and scholarships have reduced a student’s overall cost in the new Student Experience Financial Aid Overview.

  • When viewing aid in the Financial Aid Overview, disbursement details are now visible by expanding the funding description.

Partner Integrations

You can now configure custom payment providers for Credit Card and ACH processing.

Regulatory and Compliance Updates

  • FAFSA Simplification: The Anthology team continues to closely monitor the FAFSA Simplification Act and has a plan to roll out the necessary changes over the coming quarters as those changes are finalized. Our work in this release covers the addition of Enrollment Intensity fields on both Scheduled Disbursements and Term Summary.

  • 90/10 updates associated with the application of funds for co-mingled grant funds for non-federal agencies.

Student Experience

The Financial Aid Offer page in the Student Portal now enables students to:

  • Review the Net Cost amount the student owes for the program of study after subtracting the grants and scholarships

  • Review the disbursement schedules for loans, grants, and scholarships

  • Review a confirmation message listing accepted/declined funding

  • Use the Accept All Funds and Decline All Funds buttons (if the institution has configured these buttons in Anthology Student)
