Release Highlights

Addition of Class Scheduling Projections (Open Beta)

With this release, Anthology Student now supports a new feature to produce Class Scheduling Projections with 3 modes of projection. Institutions will be able to choose a mode for evaluating how seats needs are created so that the created projection reflects their operational models. Modes available include Student Courses, Degree Progress Audit and Degree Pathway. This feature will be available as an open Beta to allow for feedback into the design. The plan for moving to generally available on this feature is projected for This feature is the predecessor for our AI features in Class Scheduling coming soon!

Degree Pathway for Students can now show only template plan if desired.

Within Portal Configuration, institutions can now choose to enable display of template plan for student information without or with the individual student view for edit and approval. This provides institutions the opportunity to share the template or ideal program plan with students without fully enabling the degree pathway for the students in the Student Portal.

Usability and Process Improvements

In this release, we continue our work on improving accessibility access for students and staff. In this release we made accessibility improvement in the Degree Pathway in Student Portal as well improvements to way the Student Profile in the staff interface will support accessibility needs. Finally, in keeping with our new logo, Anthology Student Logo updates were made to align the product with the new company logo and color scheme.

Regulatory and compliance updates

We added the ability to bypass the Pell Grant amount in certain cases where the Pell LEU% was not accurate. This will allow specific users to increase the Pell beyond the Pell LEU% on the ISIR to the full amount indicated at COD.

Student Accounts

Managing residency status changes manually can lead to delays, errors in tuition calculation, and inconsistencies in billing, affecting both the institution's revenue and the student experience. With fluctuating residency statuses due to relocations, immigration status changes, and other factors, it is critical for universities to have an automated process in place to ensure accuracy and timeliness in fee adjustments.

Charges on the student ledger card are recalculated when a change in the student’s residency status occurs. This recalculation is triggered for the current term once confirmation is received from the user updating the residency status via the Contact Manager > Residencies tile.

Internationalization

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting internationalization (i18n) in Anthology Student, we are excited to announce the rollout of multi-lingual data support for core system entities. This new capability will enable a more personalized user experience by adapting content to users' preferred languages.

The multi-lingual feature will be introduced in several phases, with the current release focusing on key improvements:

  • Extension of data schemas to support global entities with multi-lingual capabilities.

  • Introduction of a robust import utility to streamline the management of language translations.

These enhancements will lay the foundation for a more inclusive and user-friendly platform, allowing institutions to better cater to their diverse global communities. Stay tuned for future updates as we continue to expand and refine these capabilities in upcoming releases.

What’s Next?

In the upcoming releases in the next quarter, we’ve planned to complete delivery for class schedule projections and our first AI services within Student. The Scheduling Assistant AI chatbot, the Ask Scheduling Chat interface and the ability to subscribe to Insights on scheduling. We look forward to your feedback!
