Release Highlights
Create Copies of Faculty Positions easily when Faculty Workload Management is not integrated to HR
When Faculty Workload Management is not integrated with Anthology HCM, you can now create copies of faculty positions with ease to be able to assign them to faculty more readily. For example, an institution may have 16 Adjunct English Faculty positions. Users can now create one and copy it 15 times. These 16 uniquely coded positions can then be assigned to the individual faculty members to which they would apply. This copy capability saves institutions time. Each position can be copied up to 999 times. Please note that position code is limited to 47 characters when copying.
Add Filter to return only available positions when searching for positions on Staff Position Assignments.
Anthology Student has introduced a new automatic filter when searching for positions to assign to Staff. This filter will allow you to only see those positions that are available. This will make it faster for you to find and select available positions. The search works by letting you fill in the “from date” and “to date” information on the assignment and then matches it to positions that are available for that period of time.
Add the ability to assign faculty in Non Teaching Activities configuration
In prior releases, the scheduling coordinator, Dean or Dean’s Assistant had to create Non Teaching Activities per term and then go to the Assignment Manager to assign those Non Teaching Activities to a faculty person or persons. Now, Anthology is saving steps by allowing assignment of faculty to Non Teaching Activities when they are created in the configuration menu – a parallel activity to when faculty are assigned to class sections in Class Scheduling. This will allow for faster assignment and management of Non Teaching work and will allow for faster validation of loads that include Non Teaching Assignments.
Add Audit to Override in Assignment Manager
In order to provide superior tracking and reporting against when an override is granted against a faculty member's load, an audit has been introduced on overrides. Visible on Assignment Management and Processes > Load Validations are new columns that contain "Overridden By" and "Overridden Date".
