Release Highlights

Assign Instructor to Class Section Sessions Identifying Load Types and Positions

As one of the complex components of academic operations, class scheduling has a great deal of data that needs to be captured from the class section level all the way down to the individual class session. With Faculty Workload Management on, schedulers can assign load types to individual faculty assignments at the period and class session level. This will improve access to this data for tracking, loading, pay and reporting purposes.

Departments are available on Class Scheduling main filter, as column on main grid and as an option when copying class sections

Multi campus institutions or consortia may schedule classes decentralized across campuses or centralized into departments. To make it easier to find the classes in a single or multiple departments, a filter by department is available in the main Class Scheduling page when Faculty Workload Management is on. Along the same lines, Anthology has added Departments as a hidden column in the main Class Scheduling grid. This will allow sorting and filtering by departments in the main Class Scheduling grid. And finally, Departments can be associated to individual class sections through the Class Load Details configuration. As such, now Departments can also be copied as an optional field when a class section is copied within a term or into a new term. This will save time in class section set up from term to term.

Instructor added to main filter for Assignment Manager

When validating loads, staff often need to review one instructor’s assignments and filtering with in the main Assignment Manager grid can be cumbersome. Therefore, Instructor has been added to the main filter for the Assignment Manager to make it faster and easier to get to the faculty member in question when validating loads.

Department and Position on Settings>System>Staff will use the Department and Position identified in Faculty Workload Management

When Faculty Workload Management is On and HR is not enabled, the staff record in Settings>System>Staff will populate the department and position from those identified for the faculty member in Faculty Workload Management. This creates alignment across the faculty record from Faculty Workload Management to the main staff record in Anthology Student.
