Permissions for Working with Document Management

This topic provides information on the permissions that must be assigned to users working with the entities of the Document Management feature.

Users of the Document Management feature can be categorized into two types:

  • System Administrators - The users who are responsible for configuring and managing the integrations as well as configuring the entities whose documents are required to be synced along with their attributes which are required to be sent to the imaging system along with the documents.

  • System Users - These users are other normal users like Admission Reps, Student Advisors etc. who upload and fetch documents in the Notes tab of an entity record in Reach, to carry out their day to day activities related to managing and accessing records in the CRM application.

Note: Depending upon their business requirements, institutions can manage permissions of their user personas.

Permissions for System Administrators

Permissions for System Users

The System Users should have the Create and Write permissions on the parent entity to which the document is required to be uploaded and should have access to the Notes and the Activity entities.
