Configure Program Costs for Institutional Charges in Budgets

If you want to configure budgets so that Anthology Student calculates the institutional charges for a program version using the values here instead of the values specified in the budget, you can use the Program Costs tab on the Program Versions page to specify the charges. Anthology Student uses the following formula to then calculate the institutional charges for an academic year when budgets have Calculate Total Program Costs selected in the Inst Charges Calc Method list.

(Program Costs Configured for the Program Version in Financial Aid / Total Number of Weeks in the Program Version) * (Weeks in Academic Year - Weeks Not Enrolled)

Prerequisites

You must have Financial Aid - Configuration - Manage authorization.

Access Method

Select the Configuration tile > locate Financial Aid in the tree > select Program Versions.

Procedure to Add or Edit the Information

  1. If not already selected, select the program version in the grid.

  2. Select the Program Costs tab.

  3. If you want to:

    • Add program costs, click the Add button on the toolbar

    • Edit a program cost, click the cell in the record

  4. Specify or change the following values.

    Books and School Supplies Closed The total cost of books and supplies for the program version.

    Effective DateClosed The first date the program costs can be used. If needed, you can have more than one effective date, but the effective dates must be unique. For example, if you add records with effective dates of 01/01/2018 and 02/01/2018, the costs in the record for 01/01/2018 are only used until 02/01/2018.

    Other Closed The total of any other institutional charges for the program version.

    Total Closed Displays the sum of values in the record for Tuition, Books and School Supplies, and Other).

    Tuition Closed The cost of tuition for the program version.

  5. If you want to save and: 

    • Continue making changes, click the Save button

    • Close, click the Save & Close button
