The tables in this topic describe the Properties available in the various tabs of the Application Object.
The Application window contains the following tabs:

The text "TBA" in the last column of the table refers to Talisma Business Administrator.
The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Application Object. Values for these Properties are set in Talisma Client.:*

Applicant status # |
Enumerated value indicating the status of the Application. The Business Administrator User must define values for this Property. |

Admissions representative # |
By default, the value in this field is the User who creates the Application. In previous versions of Talisma, the name of this Property was Owner. |

SIS owner # |
The SIS User associated with the Application. |
|

Lead Information This group of Properties comprises the Lead information of the Application. |

Lead Name # |
Name of the Lead that the Application is associated with. |

Lead Source # |
The source from where information about the Lead is obtained. For example, Internet Advertisement. |

This tab displays all the events in the history of the Application. For example, actions such as Property change for an Application, or Categorization of an Application, are recorded as events for the Application. To specify the events to be displayed in this tab, select Options from the Tools menu. In the Options dialog box, set the required Application Event options from the Event tab. For a new Application, this tab is always blank.
This tab lists the Categories created for the Application Object. From this tab, you can categorize the Application by selecting one or more Categories.
The Applicant Information tab displays the details of the Contact associated with the Application. A Contact associated with an Application is referred as an applicant in Talisma.

Indicates the type the Program the Applicant has applied for. By default, this Property can have one of the following values: • Full Time • Part Time • Correspondence |

Major |
Indicates the Program Major for which the Applicant has submitted the Application. The Talisma Business Administrator can configure custom values for this Property such as: • Science • Arts • Commerce |

Degree |
The graduation or post-graduation course for which the Applicant has submitted the Application. The Business Administrator User can configure various values for this Property depending on the various degree courses offered by your university. Example The Business Administrator User can configure values such as: • Masters of Business Applications • Masters in Arts |

Have you spoken with an Admissions Officer? |
This property indicates whether the Applicant has already spoken to the officer in charge of the admissions committee of your university. This Property can have one of the following values: • Yes • No |

The name of the admissions officer. |

First time Applicant |
Indicates whether the Applicant has applied for the course for the first time. This Property can have one of the following values: • Yes • No |

Course entry year |
The year in which the Applicant will enroll for the course. |

Entry Semester |
The semester in which the Applicant starts the course. This Property can have one of the following values: • Spring • Summer • Fall • Winter |

Indicates whether the Applicant was previously admitted to the course. This Property can have one of the following values: • Yes • No |

Previously waitlisted |
Indicates whether the admission status of the Applicant was set to Waitlisted when the Applicant had applied for the course previously. This Property can have one of the following values: • Yes • No |

Ethnic Origin |
Indicates the ethnic origin of the Applicant. By default, this Property can have one of the following values: • Asian • American Indian • Black, NonHispanic • Hispanic • White, NonHispanic |

Citizenship |
The country in which the Applicant has a citizenship. By default, you can set the value of this Property to United States. |

Are you a permanent resident of the United States |
Indicates whether the Applicant is a permanent resident of the United States of America. • Yes • No |

Type of Visa |
The type of Visa owned by the Applicant. The Talisma Business Administrator can configure various values for this Property depending on the specific needs of your university. The Type of Visa list will display the list of all values configured by the Business Administrator User. You can select the required value from the list. |

Is English your native language? |
Indicates whether English is the native language of the Applicant. |
|
|
Are you currently in the Military? |
Indicates whether the Applicant is currently working for any department in the defense forces. |

Branch of Military Service |
The defense department for which the Applicant is currently working. This Property can have one of the following values: • Army • Navy • Air Force • Coast Guard • Marines |

The defense rank of the Applicant. |

Are you a U.S. Veteran? |
Indicates whether the Applicant has previously served the armed forces of the United States. This field can have one of the following values: • Yes • No |

If the Applicant is suffering from any disability, this field indicates the type of disability. By default, this Property can have one of the following values: • Physically disabled • Learning disabled • Physically disabled and Learning disabled |

Indicates whether the Applicant has expressed an interest to visit the university campus. |

Indicates whether the Applicant has been suspended, or been a subject to trial previously. |

Indicates whether the Applicant has requested for financial assistance to pursue the course. |

Indicates whether the Applicant has requested for any benefits that would be provided by your university for students who are the dependents of military veterans. |

Indicates whether the Applicant has requested for corporate tuition assistance. |

Military tuition assistance |
Indicates whether the Applicant has requested for tuition. |

Application Status |

Submission status |
The status of the Application. By default, this Property can have one of the following values: • In Progress • Submitted Note When an Applicant submits an Application from Talisma Customer Portal, the value of this Property is automatically set to Submitted. |

Admission status |
The admission status of the Applicant. By default, this Property can have one of the following values: • Under Review • Rejected • Waitlisted • Admitted |

This tab enables you to specify details about the educational institutions previously attended by the Applicant, the courses completed in each of them, and marks scored in each course.
1. Right-click in the Educational Background Tab, and select Add from the shortcut menu.
A row is added to the tab.
2. Specify the necessary values.

Year of Completion |
The year in which an Applicant completed a course in an educational institution. |

Degree/Diploma (if received) |
The degree or diploma received by the Applicant from the educational institution. |

Major |
The Program major in which the Applicant completed a course in the educational institution. |

|
Language of Instruction |
The language of instruction followed in the educational institution where the Applicant completed the course. |

CGPA |
The Cumulative Grade Point Average of the Applicant. |

|
Current Student |
Indicates whether the Applicant is currently a student in the educational institution. |

|
Comments |
Any comments regarding the Applicant’s educational institution, or educational background. |

This is an attachment type of Tab in which you can insert transcripts of an Applicant, such as mark sheets.
If the Applicant is currently an employee of an organization, or has previous work experience, this tab enables you to specify details about the applicant’s work experience, and employment details.

A specific activity that the Applicant wants to perform in the intended field. The Business Administrator User may configure various values for this Property. You can select the required value from the list. For example, select Programming if the Applicant’s intends to be a Software Programmer in the field of Software Engineering. |

The Resume tab is an attachment type of Tab that enables you to insert the Applicant’s resume, or any other documents required for your reference.
1. Select the Resume tab, and from the shortcut menu, select Insert.
The Insert Files dialog box is displayed.
2. Select a file and click Open. The file is inserted in the Resume tab.
Double-click the file to open it in a new window.
The Extracurricular activities tab enables you to specify information about any extracurricular activities pursued by the applicant.

This tab enables you to specify information about any awards and recognitions received by the Applicant. The following table describes the Properties displayed as column headers in the tab:

The Essays tab enables you to insert attachments that contain Essays, or any other creative articles written by the Applicant.
1. Select the Resume tab, and from the shortcut menu, select Insert.
The Insert Files dialog box is displayed.
2. Select a file and click Open. The file is inserted in the Resume tab.
Double-click the file to open it in a new window.
The Payment Details tab enables you to specify details of payment received from the applicant for admission to the course.

The amount already paid by the Applicant. |
Payment Method |
The method used the Applicant to pay the course fee. This Property can have one of the following values: • Credit Card • Cash • E-Check • Wire Transfer • PayPal • Cheque • Draft • Other |
Credit Card Type |
If the Applicant has paid the amount using a credit card, this Property enables you to specify the type of Credit card used by the Applicant. This Property can have one of the following values: • MasterCard • Visa |
Payment Transaction # |
The payment transaction number. |
Payment Transaction Date |
The date on which the payment transaction occurred. |
Comments |
Comments about the Applicant’s payment. |
The Internal Processing tab enables you to specify details of the Applicant using which you can quickly processes the Application.

Indicates whether any transcripts were received from the Applicant. |

Indicates whether the Applicant has provided any essays, or creative articles written by the Applicant. |
Resume uploaded |
Indicates whether the Applicant has provided the resume. |

Enables you to specify any additional information about the Applicant. |
The Recommenders tab enables you to add recommenders for the Application. When a Contact recommends the Application from the My Recommendations tab of Talisma Customer Portal, the details of the recommender are automatically updated in the tab.

In a scenario where you receive a Recommendation by postal mail, you can create the Recommendation in Talisma, and associate it with the Application by including the Recommendation in the My Recommendations tab of the Application.
