Address Type Tabs and Properties

The Address Type Object is a Global Object in Talisma. The table in this topic describes the Properties available in the various tabs of the Address Type Object.

The Address Type Object contains the following tabs:

• Properties Tab

• History Tab

• Categories Tab

• Addresses Tab

Before reading the descriptions in this topic, see Using Property Tables in Talisma Client Help.

The text "TBA" in the last column of the table refers to Talisma Business Administrator.

Note

In a scenario where your organization has integrated Talisma CRM with an SIS, values of Properties will be automatically updated when Talisma CRM is synchronized with the SIS.

Properties Tab

The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Address Type Object.

Property (* indicates that the Property is mandatory)	Description	Value Updated by (Talisma/User)	Property Can be Edited/Deleted in TBA
External SIS ID	A unique identifier for the corresponding Address Type item in the SIS.
Name *	The name of the Address Type. For example, Permanent or Vacation.
Owner	The Talisma user who created the Address Type. By default, the User who creates the Address Type item is its owner.
Created On	The date and time when the record was created.		Cannot be edited or deleted
Last Updated	The date and time when the record was last updated.		Cannot be edited or deleted
Code *	A code for the Address type.
Active *	This Property can have one of the following values: • Yes - Indicates that the Address Type Object item is displayed when you search for the Address Type Object item in the Address Type field of a related Object. • No - Indicates that the Address Type Object item is not displayed when you search for the Address Type Object item in the Address Type field of a related Object.		Cannot be edited or deleted
Show FERPA academic information	This Property can have one of the following values: • Yes: The FERPA Academic Information tab is enabled in the associated Address items. This enables the User to select Properties in the tab whose values the Contact is willing to share with third parties. • No: The FERPA Academic Information tab is disabled in the associated Address items. By default, the value of this Property is No.		Cannot be edited or deleted

This tab lists the actions performed on the Address Type. For example, if an Address Type is categorized, this action is recorded as an event in the history of the Address Type. To specify the events to be displayed in this tab, select Options from the Tools menu. In the Options dialog box, set the required Address Type Event options from the Event tab.

Note

When Talisma is installed afresh, audit is disabled for all events and Properties. Hence, audit records will not be displayed in the History tab. For more information, about enabling or disabling audit, see Business Administrator Help and Installation Manager Help.

Categories Tab

This tab lists the Categories created for the Address Type Object. From this tab, you can categorize the Address Type by selecting one or more Categories.

Addresses Tab

This tab lists the Addresses associated with the Address Type. From this tab, you can view details of a selected Address in the Address window. For information about the Properties displayed in this tab, see “ Address Tabs and Properties”.
