Confirming a Student's Attendance in an Event or Session
You can confirm a student’s attendance in an active event or session by using the event’s or session’s QR code. For an event, the QR code is displayed in its Event Registration record, and for a session it’s displayed within the session record in the Session registrations tab.
To register the student's attendance using a smart hand-held device, scan the QR code. The student's attendance is confirmed (or checked-in) into the event or session.
The following details are updated on the hand-held device:
- The Event / Session Registration ID
- The name of the student
- The name of the event / session
You can also specify information in the following fields:
- Check-in time - this is updated automatically with the current date and time. You can change these values.
- Check-out time
After the QR code is scanned:

The associated Check-in record is created and displayed in the Check-ins grid of the event.

The Event Registration Status field is automatically updated to Attended.
Notes:
- When registration is complete, the value in the Check-in type field is set to Event check-in for an event and Session check-in for a session.
- In an event, when you click
to confirm the student's attendance, you need to specify details in the Quick-Create: Check-in form to confirm the student's attendance.
