College Finance Plan

You can use the tabs on the College Finance Plan page to view or print College Finance Plans for:

  • Prospective students (Program tab)

  • Enrolled students (Student tab)

Use the Saved tab to view or print student College Finance Plans that have been saved.

For award years 2021-2022 and later, you can choose to view or print the College Finance Plan for graduate or undergraduate students.

Prerequisites

You must have the following authorization:

  • Common - Processes - View

  • Financial Aid – College Finance Plan – Edit and Print

You should also be familiar with Background for the College Finance Plan.

Access Method

Select the Processes tile > expand Financial Aid > select College Finance Plan.

Procedure to View or Print College Finance Plans

Program Tab

Use the Program tab to view or print the College Finance Plan for prospective students so that students are informed about the program cost at that campus before enrolling.

  1. Select a Campus or accept the session default.

  2. Select an Award Year or accept the session default.

  3. Select a Degree Level:

    • Undergraduate
    • Graduate
  4. Select the Housing Status:

    • On Campus Residence (default)
    • Off Campus Residence.
  5. Specify the Expected Family Contribution amount.

  6. Select applicable financial aid options for undergraduate and graduate students:

    For Degree Level = Undergraduate, the options are:

    • Include Income Share Agreement (award year 2021-22 only)
    • Include Parent Plus Loans
    • Include Other Campus Jobs
    • Include VA Education Benefits (award years 2022-23 and later)

    For Degree Level = Graduate, the options are:

    • Include Assistantship
    • Include Income Share Agreement (award year 2021-22 only)
    • Include School Paid Tuition
    • Include HRSA Loan
    • Include Tuition Waiver
    • Include Graduate Plus Loan
    • Include Scholarship For Disadvantaged Student
    • Include VA Education Benefits (award years 2022-23 and later)
  7. The grid displays the configured program versions for the selected campus.

    Program VersionClosed The name of the program version.

    Program CodeClosed The alphanumeric code assigned to the item by your institution. In most cases, codes must be unique.

    ActiveClosed Specifies whether the associated record is active.

  8. By default, the records are sorted alphabetically by program version. Sort and filter the records as needed.

  9. Select the records for which you want to print College Finance Plans or select the check box in the header of the first column to select all records.

  10. Select Print in the grid toolbar.

    A PDF viewer displays the selected College Finance Plans. Select the print option in the PDF viewer to print the College Finance Plans to a local printer.

Student Tab

Use the Student tab to search for students who need a College Finance Plan. You can search for a student by Campus, Degree Level, Student Number, First Name, and/or Last Name. Once the student is listed in the grid, you can select the record and print or save the College Finance Plan.

  1. Select a Campus or accept the session default.

  2. Select a Degree Level:

    • Undergraduate
    • Graduate
  3. Specify the Student Number, First Name, and/or Last Name to filter the records.

  4. Select applicable financial aid options for undergraduate and graduate students:

    For Degree Level = Undergraduate, the options are:

    • Include Other Campus Jobs
    • Include Income Share Agreement

    For Degree Level = Graduate, the options are:

    • Include Income Share Agreement
    • Include Assistantship
  5. Select the Apply Filters button. Records matching the filters are displayed in the grid.

    StudentClosed The last and first name of the student.

    Student NumberClosed If your institution assigns student numbers, the number your institution uses to identify the student. How the number is assigned is specified by your institution. For example, Anthology Student can be configured to assign the number, or your institution can use another method to assign it.

    CampusClosed The campus or campuses to which a person or item is assigned. The list is filtered to display the campuses where you have access.

    Program VersionClosed The name of the program version.

    Enrollment StatusClosed The enrollment status included in the student's Enrollment record. For example, Full Time.

    AY SequenceClosed Specifies the sequence in the academic year.

    AY Start DateClosed The start date of the sequence. For the first sequence, Anthology Student defaults to the start date in the student's enrollment record. The start dates of the student's second and succeeding sequences are estimated using the number of weeks in the academic year or loan period and the number of weeks not enrolled. If needed, you can change the estimated date on the Academic Years tab. For loan periods, in most cases, the date should not be before the start date of the program version. For loan periods, the start date must be between the start and end dates for the Borrower-Based Academic Year (BBAY).

    AY End DateClosed The end date of the sequence. For the first sequence, Anthology Student defaults to a date calculated from the enrollment date for the student plus the number of weeks in the academic year or loan period. The end date of the second and subsequent academic years are estimated using the number of weeks in the academic year or loan period and the number of weeks not enrolled. If your institution configured calendars, holidays are added to the calculation of the end date of the sequence. If needed, you can change the estimated date on the Academic Years tab. For loan periods in most cases, the date should not be after the graduation date. For loan periods, the end date must be between the start and end dates for the Borrower-Based Academic Year (BBAY).

    Award YearClosed The financial aid award year.

    The College Finance Plan grid retrieves records for the configured student enrollment statuses from the institution's database. For more details, see Background for Status Changes and Student Enrollment Statuses.

  6. By default, the records are sorted alphabetically by last name in the Student column. Sort and filter the grid as necessary.

  7. Select a record in the grid.

    Keep in mind that a:

    • Students can have more than one program version.

    • Program versions can have more than one academic year.

  8. Select one of the following options in the grid toolbar:

    • To print the College Finance Plan for the selected student record, select Print. The College Finance Plan is displayed in a PDF viewer window from which you can print it to a local printer.

      Once a College Finance Plan is printed, a College Finance Plan record is created in the database with a value of Queued = 0. The record will be marked as "Yes" in the "Previously Viewed" column on the Saved tab.

    • To save a College Finance Plan for the selected student record, select Save College Finance Plans.

      Once a College Finance Plan is saved, a College Finance Plan record is created in the database with a value of Queued = 1. The record will be marked as "No" in the "Previously Viewed" column on the Saved tab.

  9. To view or print saved College Finance Plans, select the Saved tab.

Saved Tab

Use the Saved tab to view or print College Finance Plans that have been saved.

College Finance Plans can be printed immediately, or they can be saved and queued for printing from the Saved tab. After College Finance Plans have been printed, they are added to an archive queue for printing later. When College Finance Plans are displayed for printing, you have the option of saving the PDF before selecting Print. If a printing problem occurs, you can reprint the College Finance Plans from the saved file.

  1. Review the grid on the Saved tab.

    StudentClosed The last and first name of the student.

    Award YearClosed The financial aid award year.

    Previously ViewedClosed The initial list of records in the grid includes saved College Finance Plans that have not been viewed. The records marked "No" in the "Previously Viewed" column.

    Date AddedClosed The date when the item or person was added or the status change was entered.

  2. To view all saved College Finance Plans, select Show Previously Viewed in the grid toolbar.

    College Finance Plan records marked "Yes" in the "Previously Viewed" column are added to the grid and the button label in the grid toolbar changes to Hide Previously Viewed.

  3. By default, the most recently added records are displayed at the top of the grid. Sort and filter the records as needed.

  4. Select the records you want to print or select the check box in the header of the first column to select all records.

  5. To print the College Finance Plans for the selected records, select Print in the grid toolbar.

    The College Finance Plans are displayed in a PDF viewer from which you can print them to a local printer.
