Print Template Tabs and Properties

The tables in this topic describe the Properties available in the various tabs of the Print Template Window.

The Print Template window contains the following tabs:

•   Properties Tab

•   Share Tab

•   History Tab

•   Categories Tab

•   Description Tab

•   Content Tab

•   Personal Tab

Before reading the descriptions in this topic, see “Using Property Tables in Talisma Client Help”.

The text "TBA" in the last column of the table refers to Talisma Business Administrator.

Properties Tab

The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Print Template Object. Values for these Properties are set in Talisma Client.

Print Template ID

A unique identifier for the Print Template.

Cannot be edited or deleted

Name *

The name of the Print Template. This is a free text field.

Maximum number of characters: 255.

Owner

The owner of the Print Template. By default, the User who creates the Print Template is its owner. The owner can be changed from the Print Template window.

Created On

The date and time when the Print Template record was created.

Last Updated

The date and time when the Print Template record was last updated.

Usage Count

Displays the count of Object items printed using the Print Template. For example, three Contact Object items are selected, and Contact Property details are printed using a Print template. The value of the Print template Usage Count Property is set to 3.

When the Print Template is used in a Campaign to print Target, or Contact details, the value of this Property is increased by the number of Targets, or Contacts printed from the Create Letter, or Create Label step.

By default, the value of this Property is 0.

Created By

The name of the Talisma User who created the Print Template.

Base Object *

The Talisma Object that is set as the base Object for the Print Template. Selecting a base Object enables the Print Template User to print details in a customized format by merging base Object Properties in an MS Word document.

Template Type

Indicates whether the Print Template is of the type Letter, or Label. By default, Letter is automatically selected.

Language

The language of the Print Template. By default, the value of this Property is set to the language of the Talisma Client computer. You can modify this value.

Share Tab

This tab lists the Teams in which you have the Manage Print Template Permission. The Teams with which the Print Template is shared are selected.

When you create a Print Template, Talisma enables you to save it only if you share the Print Template with at least one Team.

History Tab

This tab displays all the actions performed on the Print Template. For example, actions such as sharing the Print Template with a Team, or changing the Categorization of the Print Template, are recorded as events in this tab. To specify the events you want to view in this tab, in the Home Workspace, select Options from the Tools menu. In the Options dialog box, set the required Print Template Event options from the Events tab.

Actions displayed in the History tab of the Print Template window are specific to a User's Talisma login credentials.

Note 

When Talisma is installed afresh, audit is disabled for all events and Properties. Hence, audit records will not be displayed in the History tab. For more information about enabling or disabling audit, see Business Administrator Help and Installation Manager Help.

Categories Tab

This tab displays all Categories created for the Print Template Object. From this tab, you can categorize the Print Template by selecting one or more Categories.

Description Tab

This free text tab enables you to type a description about the Print Template.

Content Tab

This tab displays the content of the Print Template in a window using MS Word. The content can include text that you want to add to the Print Template. You can also include Properties of the base Object that is set in the Base Object field of the Properties tab in the Print Template window. For more information, see Creating a Print Template.

Personal Tab

Lists Properties created for the Personal tab in Talisma Business Administrator. The tab is visible in Talisma Client only for the User who created these Properties. Note that the Personal tab is visible for the User only if the User has created at least one Property for the tab.
