Opportunity Tabs and Properties
The tables in this topic describe the Properties available in the various tabs of the Opportunity Object. Values for the Pipeline and Stage Properties are defined from Talisma Business Administrator. Values for all the other Properties are set from Talisma Client.
The following are the tabs in the Opportunity window:

The text "TBA" in the last column of the table refers to Talisma Business Administrator.
Properties Tab
The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Opportunity Object. Values for these Properties are set in Talisma Client.

Opportunity name * |
The name of the Opportunity. This is a free text field. Maximum number of characters: 255. |

Expected Close Date |
The date on which the Opportunity may be converted into an Order. Example An Opportunity is a potential sale to a Target who expresses interest in a Product, or a Service. The Opportunity may be converted into an Order on 8/9/2007. |

Actual Close Date |
The date on which the Opportunity is converted into an Order. |

Owner |
The Talisma User who is responsible for converting the Opportunity into an Order. By default, the User who creates an Opportunity is its owner. Opportunities that you own can be assigned or transferred to other Users. |

Opportunity ID |
A unique identifier for the Opportunity. |

Probability% |
The probability of winning the Opportunity, and converting it into an Order. The value for this Property is expressed as a percentage. |

Revenue |
The total revenue expected from the Opportunity. This is a computed Property. Formula: Revenue = Amount (from the Purchase List tab) x Probability%. Click to view the updated value of this Property. |

Expected Value |
The revenue expected from the Opportunity. |

Forecast |
Indicates whether the value of the Opportunity should be included in reports. The value for this Property can be True or False. |

Target Link |
The Target linked to the Opportunity, if there is any. |

Pipeline |
The sales pipeline to which the Opportunity belongs. Sales pipelines can be defined in Talisma, from Talisma Business Administrator. |

The Contact associated with the Opportunity. You must associate either an Account or a Contact with the Opportunity. When an Account is not specified, setting a Contact is mandatory. |

Stage |
The Step of the sales pipeline to which the Opportunity currently belongs. |

The Account associated with the Opportunity. You must associate either an Account or a Contact with the Opportunity. When a Contact is not specified, setting an Account is mandatory. |

Notes |
Comments about the Opportunity. This is a free text field. Maximum number of characters: 255. |

The Team to which the Opportunity belongs. |

Status |
The current status of the Opportunity. The status can be Active, Won, or Lost. |

Campaign |
The Campaign from which the Opportunity was created. An Opportunity that is created manually can also be linked to a Campaign. You can modify the value for this Property. To do so, click in the Campaign Property row, and select the required Campaign from the Set Campaign dialog box. |

Reason for Win/Loss |
The reasons behind winning or losing the Opportunity. This is a free text field. Maximum number of characters: 255. |

Incubate till |
In Talisma, you can incubate Opportunities to postpone a sale for a specified period. This Property displays the date until when the Opportunity is incubated. |

Mobile |
The mobile phone number of the Opportunity. |

Categories Tab
This tab displays the Categories created for the Opportunity Object. From this tab, you can categorize the Opportunity by selecting one or more Categories.
Interactions Tab
This tab lists the Interactions associated with the Opportunity. The corresponding Contacts for the Interactions are displayed in the Contacts tab. The Properties of the Interaction Object are displayed as column headers in the Interactions tab. For information about the Properties displayed in this tab, see Interaction Tabs and Properties.
Contacts Tab
This tab lists the Contacts associated with the Opportunity, and the Contacts associated with the Interactions linked to the Opportunity. The Properties of the Contact Object are displayed as column headers in this tab. For information about the Properties displayed in this tab, see Contact Tabs and Properties.
History Tab
This tab displays the actions performed on the Opportunity. For example, if an Opportunity is categorized, this action is recorded as an event in the history of the Opportunity. To specify the events to be displayed in this pane, select Options from the Tools menu. In the Options dialog box, set the required Opportunity Event options from the Event tab.
Note When Talisma is installed afresh, audit is disabled for all events and Properties. Hence, audit records will not be displayed in the History tab. For more information about enabling or disabling audit, see Business Administrator Help and Installation Manager Help. |
Orders Tab
This tab displays the list of Orders created from the Opportunity. For information about Properties displayed in this tab, see Order Tabs and Properties.
Purchase List Tab
This tab lists the Purchase Lists for the Products associated with the Opportunity.
Property |
Description |
Product Name |
The name of the Product associated with the Opportunity. |
Price List |
The name of the Price List. |
Base Price |
The unit price of the Product before any discount. By default, when a Price List is added, its associated List Price is displayed as the value for this Property. This value can be modified. |
Quantity |
The quantity involved in the Opportunity. This value is expressed as a number, and is provided after considering the UOM (Unit of Measurement). For example, De-lite Chocolate is a confectionery Product for diabetics. The UOM is Kilograms. The Quantity is expressed as the number of Kilograms involved in the Opportunity. |
Discount % |
The percentage offered as discount for the Product. |
Amount |
The total amount expected from the Opportunity. This is a computed Property calculated by multiplying the base price of the Product and the quantity expected to be sold when the Opportunity is converted into a sale. If any discount is to be offered, the discount amount is deducted to arrive at the net amount. Formula: (Base Price * Quantity) - Discount Click to view the updated value of this Property. |
Date of Sale |
Date on which the Product is sold. |
Personal Tab
Lists Properties created for the Personal tab in Talisma Business Administrator. The tab is visible in Talisma Client only for the User who created these Properties. Note that the Personal tab is visible for the User only if the User has created at least one Property for the tab.
Columns Displayed in a Related Object Tab
Contact, Interaction, and Order are the Objects related to the Opportunity Object. These Object tabs display Properties as column headers. You can customize the columns that are displayed in these tabs.
