Lead Tabs and Properties

Lead is a Team object in CampusNexus CRM. The tables in this topic describe the fields available in the various tabs of the Lead object.

Properties Tab

The Properties tab contains system properties, along with custom properties that are created for the Lead.

Indicates the Lead’s academic grade point average in high school. For example, 3.5.

Enumerated values indicating the type of Applicant applying for admission. For example, if the Applicant chooses to apply online, this Applicant is categorized as Online Applicant.

If no value is specified for this property, the value of the SIS Owner property is set by default.

If the value of the SIS owner property is changed later, the value of the Admissions Representative will not be updated automatically.

Send SMS

Indicates whether SMS messages can be sent to Leads. By default, the value of this property is set to No. If a mobile number is specified in the Mobile field, the value of this property automatically changes to Yes.

You cannot send SMS messages to Leads for whom this value is set to No even if you select such Leads to be the recipients of SMS messages.

Note

SMS Mailers are sent to leads in a CampusNexus CRM campaign regardless of the value of this property. To ensure that the mailer is sent only to leads that have the Send SMS property set as Yes, define an appropriate Filter at the relevant Connector before the Send SMS action node.

Send Email

Indicates whether email messages can be sent to leads.

By default, the value of this Property is Yes. Its value is changed to No if the lead opts not to receive email messages by clicking an unsubscribe link in an email or by communicating with the user through other media that email messages must no longer be sent.

In the former scenario, the value of the associated contact's Send Email property changes to No automatically. This value is then is inherited in all leads associated with the contact.

In the latter scenario, the user changes the value of the property from Yes to No. This value is then inherited in the associated contact and any leads associated with the contact.

Note

•   If the property is blank, its value is considered as Yes.

•   The latest value of the property is updated in the associated contact's Send Email property and the Send Email property of leads associated with the contact based on the property inheritance framework defined in Business Administrator. For more information, your administrator must see Business Administrator Help.

The group of properties that comprise the address information for the lead. These properties are free text fields, in which you can type a maximum of 255 characters.

School Status

This is equivalent to the lead's Stage property in SIS. This value is updated as a result of database synchronization.

The validation of the Expected Start Date, Midpoint Date, and Expected Graduation Date properties is not performed in the following scenarios:

•   When the Expected Start Date is updated in the Update Lead dialog box that is invoked from the Contact Table View, by clicking the Update Leads From Contact menu option.

•   When multiple leads are selected in the Lead Table View, and values of the Expected Start Date, Midpoint Date, and Expected Graduation Date properties are set for leads in the Set Properties dialog box.

Non-immigrant Student Tab

Property values in this tab are sent to the SIS during database synchronization. Similarly, changes made to the field values in the Non-immigrant Student tab in the SIS are also updated in CampusNexus CRM.

Interactions Tab

This tab displays the interactions associated with the lead. For information on the properties displayed in this tab, see Interaction Tabs and Properties.

Note 

In the Business Administrator, if the View Leads and Enrollments based only on the set Contacts option is set to Yes, and you attempt to add an interaction from the Interactions tab in the Lead window, then only the interactions linked to the specified Contact are displayed in the Add Interaction dialog box.

Categories Tab

This tab lists the categories created for the lead object. From this tab, you can categorize the lead by selecting one or more categories.

Activities Tab

This tab lists all Interactions associated with the Lead. Double-click an activity to view the child Interactions. For information about the properties displayed in this tab, see Activity Properties.

Test Scores Tab

This tab lists the test score items associated with the lead. For more information on the properties displayed in this tab, see Test Score Tabs and Properties.

Document Status Tab

This tab lists the document status items associated with the lead. For more information on the properties displayed in this tab, see Document Status Tabs and Properties.

Ethnic Groups Tab

This tab lists the ethnic group items associated with the lead.

Assignment Logs Tab

This tab is currently not being used.

Duplicate Leads Tab

For all original lead items, details of the corresponding duplicate leads are listed in this tab. For duplicate leads, this tab is blank, and read-only.

Previous Education Tab

This tab lists previous education details of the lead.

Calendar Events Tab

The Calendar Events tab displays details of calendar events that are sent to attendees. For a new Object record, this tab is always blank. By default, records in the tab are displayed in ascending order based on the ID of the calendar event.

The following table describes the Properties displayed in this tab:

Property Description
Calendar Event ID A unique identifier of the calendar event. The value for this Property is automatically generated.
Name The name of the calendar event. This value is typed by the user in the Name field of the Add Calendar Event dialog box.
Start Date The date and time when the calendar event starts.
End Date The date and time when the calendar event ends.
Time Zone The time zone that is selected for the calendar event.
Location Details of the location of the calendar event.
History Tab

This tab lists events and property changes in the lead item. For example, actions such as a property change or categorization are recorded in the tab.

Note

•   By default, audit is disabled for all events and properties. Hence, information about event and property changes will not be displayed in the History tab. To display these changes, your administrator must enable audit in Business Administrator. For more information, your administrator must see Business Administrator and Installation Manager Help.

•   When a lead's related object property is updated, its database equivalent values will be displayed in the From and To columns of the History tab instead of its previous and updated values.

•   The history of events and changed property values in a tab is displayed only if you have access to the tab.
