Permissions Required

The Permissions you require will depend on whether you are working with a Global, Team, or Shared custom Object. For more information about Permissions, see Global Permissions and Team Level Permissions.

The Talisma Business Administrator User may have created custom Objects whose items can be made available for sharing across all Teams in Talisma. Such custom Objects are called Shared custom Objects, and are listed along with other Talisma Objects in the Object Selector.

Example 

Your Business Administrator may have created a Shared custom Object called Article, which can be used by the Users in various Teams to answer queries most frequently asked by your clients.

Shared custom Object items created in your Team can be shared with other Teams in Talisma.

You can share a custom Object from the <custom Object> menu or the Share tab in the <custom Object> window.

To Share a Custom Object Item from the <Custom Object> Menu

1.  In any Workspace, select the required custom Object from the Object Selector.

2.  Using the Left pane, locate and select the required <custom Object>.

3.  From the <custom Object> menu, click Share.

- OR -

Right-click the selected <custom Object>, and select Share.

The Share dialog box is displayed.

4.  Select the Teams with which you want to share the selected <custom Object>. Click Select All to select all the Teams. Click Clear All to clear the selection of the Teams.

5.  Click OK.

The <custom Object> is shared with the selected Teams.

To Share a Custom Object Item from the Share Tab

1.  Open the required <custom Object>.

2.  Click the Share tab.

3.  Select the Teams with which you want to share the selected <custom Object>.

4.  Click

The <custom Object> is shared with the selected Teams.

Note 

•   If you are in the <custom Object> Table View, you can select multiple <custom Object> items and share them with the selected Teams.

•   After the <custom Object> item is shared to another Team, the share Event is recorded in the History tab of the <custom Object> item.

•   To share <custom Object> items from the <custom Object> window, you need the Edit <custom Object> Permission in addition to the Share <custom Object> Permission, in the Teams with which you want to share the selected <custom Object> items.
